I love changes. I can’t last a month without changing my look, and the classic isn’t quite my first choice. I like the styling with personality, the styling done whilst inspired from something with an essence, or which you do because it matches with the person in front of you. I am a fan of cold colors, but I don’t run away from orange, pink or coppery colors. This season I laid my eyes on a very charming project, a creation of hair designer Lucian Busuioc of which he says that: “it is the dream of every individual which gets to live in the urban society”.
The project is called Urban Dream, and the artist reveals about it that:
“A first source of inspiration would be the 70’s period, respectively the volume, texture, movement. I realized looks in contrast, dark-bright colors, dusty which complements the complex haircuts, the stratifications, the exaggerated and bold stair steps made in the top part.
Another source of inspiration is represented by the works of the famous architect Zaha Hadid, which through her creations of art that she left throughout the whole world (curved forms), she brings a plus to modern architecture, this being found in the haircuts/styling as well as in the clothing.

With regard to the haircut and styling, I’ve done short haircuts but with long trails, steps, volume, hair turned towards the exterior, afro texture, natural aspect and lots of movement. The overlaid textures combined with the curved forms bring a new element for SS17. In terms of color, the work are in bright-dark contrast, respectively dark colors with accents of emerald green, amethyst purple, lime yellow, navy blue which makes us think of graffiti and bright colors, gradients, gray blond, blue denim, dusty gray, lavender, pearl white, peach pink.”.
Butterflies and pansies come to mind when I think of lavender and dusty gray. I have some ideas for my new look and I can’t wait for them to materialize. I am curious, what colors would you pick from the trending pallet of 2017?
So, until next time… #Stayperfectlyimperfect!
