If you haven’t reached Manasia Hub yet, located on No. 13, Stelea Spatarul, I highly recommend you do it. It’s a very warm place, with relaxed and cool people. Actually, the interwar house, however traditional, is also decorated with contemporary elements. I love their windows, the brick walls, their blue couch in the attic and the trees in the garden.
I was talking with some friends, the other day, and I was telling tem there is culture everywhere for those keen to find it. There are places in this city where you get to see stuff, where you can find quality, more than merely the bullshit we are so sick of already.
I’d say Manasia is one of those places. Those who come here are interested in smart and educational things. They project movies here, they bring to light independent film projects, they love the unconventional. They also organize Romanian movies night, my absolute favorite! Even in their garden, in front of the house. I’m going there to watch Short Film Screenings. So, if you’re into short films, see you there!
Ah, they also have this amazing event, “Ask me anything”. It is, actually, a relaxed discussion in which people ask the guest questions. The last event had Nicusor Dan as guest. Great, believe me!
As far as clothing is concerned, I would go for something authentic yet loose. I wouldn’t like to go somewhere free and urban, to the movies or out for a glass of wine dressed as if I had just robbed a shop on Calea Victoriei. This time, I wore this dress made by Alexandra Ivan and a pair of shoes colored in this amazing shade of yellow, made by Imola Brand. I believe these two colors match beautifully. They, actually, look gorgeous in Manasia.
My favorite product here is the wine, strawberries and rose syrup cocktail. Tell me, does it not sound amazing?!?! Add there the two ice cubes making noise in the glass….
So, until next time… #stayperfectlyimperfect!
