Barcelona is that kind of city in which you go on vacation just to get lost. And yet again, in which you actually find yourself. I only heard good things about Barcelona and its foods and its touristic attractions and its parties… However, I could not believe it! I had to taste it myself!
I’ll tell you more about them. One by one. About the things you must not miss if you ever go there.
1. Guell Park: located above the city and full of flowers! The colors here knocked me dead. I took these amazing pictures and I felt as if I was standing in front of a huge painting! I am absolutely fascinated by the architecture there! Gaudi really did work its magic here. I also visited the house he lived in… it’s the true bohemian style over there! It is worth visiting! Plus, there are at least 10 of the things you must see in Barcelona over there!
2. The magical Montjiuc Fountain: colors, water and music. I thought I was going to experience one of those kitsch-like places, but I stand corrected. I was fascinated by this place! At some point, I think I felt a tear roll down my eye. I remembered all of my love affairs, I thought of stars and of God and I felt overwhelmed. There’s this energy over there…
3. La Sagrada Familia: this story did not touch me, to be honest. I felt I was missing the background. It is, I admit, the most beautiful building I have ever seen. The natural elements, combined with religion… amazing
4. The Barceloneta port and La Rambla: located relatively close, it is worth spending time walking on them. On this port you will see some scenery that won’t get out of your head easily. Yachts with helicopters parked on top of them, seagulls strolling around you and the beach, the much loved beach. La Rambla is a famous street of Barcelona; near it you will also find the Boqueria Market. They lost me there (haha). The heaven of fruits, cereals and seafood. I recommend eating at the Barceloneta restaurant, in the port at the taverns and in the market. La Rambla doesn’t excel from this point of view.
5. Plaça d`Espanya: it’s a very busy square situated at the foot of Montjuic. The square which has a traffic worthy of taken into consideration is surrounded by a multitude of attractions such as Arenas or Joan Miro Park.
6. Elrow – the corazon party: the conclusion which I arrived at after the party was that we will come back here next year as well. People’s attitude there is very cool, they all want one single thing: to party and have a good time. The show is animated, there are sketches above the dj, dwarfs, actors on stilts, confetti from hour to hour, balloons, and everything you can and can’t dream of. If you like techno music, go, it won’t be like anything you’ve ever experienced before.
