Pool parties are a delight during summer time. I’ll be talking about the parties with all sorts of guests from the techno house music world. Everyone is present, it happens in the middle of the city or in surprising suburbs. These parties can`t be missing from your weekend agenda, so I decided to do some recap about them:
1. It’s not proper to have a very classic elegant outfit – not because the party takes place at the pool, but that the specifics of this genre involve relaxation and dance
2. The highest heels must be left home – very often I get to see girls that struggle to walk on the field in stilettos. Not so fancy!
3. You can mix colorful elements, dresses, skirts, custom-made T-shirts paired with sneakers or boots, it looks good you stay in your comfort zone
4. Add a sophisticated element – whether it’s a head scarf, a hat or large accessories, big earrings or a leather jacket /personalized vest, they stand out, look cool and they’ll definitely make you feel out of ordinary
What happens at such events is similar to a trance induced not only chemically as most people would assume, but also musically.
How did these parties start? In the ’60s, on the beautiful beaches of the Goa land ( in western India ) some cheerful diverse communities of hippies made their appearence and establised there. They were drawn there by the spirituality of India, very alluring in that area, yoga, the exotic scenery and least but not last … . hashish . Slowly they created some bohemian style parties, with music on the beach, free sex and transcendental experiences under the influence or the natural way.
There are still some elements of this style that can be found today but gradually it developed into the so-called goa psytrance, a futuristic and hypnotic music of the electronic genre, influenced by techno, acid house, edm, rave and other electronic sub-genres, with an average of 130-140 bpm, with synthesizers and strong bass, imitating and amplifying the fluctuations of a trip.
So … As usual, the guys at Blue Balloon organized the Prive parties. The location was nice, the music appropriate, fluctuating volume, and for the amateurs it lasted 32 hours.
By now everyone was talking about what we should expect at Carol Warehouse next week with a line-up of exquisite raving, after which we’ll talk about partying in exclusive locations such as abandoned buildings, castles, rooftops, etc.
